19 month Dr. appointment

Collin had his check-up today. It was supposed to be his 18 month, but ended up being a 19 month appointment. Everything went really well. He had to get 1 shot and that's his last one for a while. He is still above average in height and weight and is actually above average for his vocabulary too. His doctor said most white male children his age do not have the vocabulary he has, so it's affirming that we're doing a good job. His new word today was Doctor, which he actually shared with the doctor, I think the Dr. was impressed. He has been saying a lot of new things. It's like a light bulb has gone on in his brain and now everything he's wanted to say for the last 19 months is coming out of his mouth. Now we really have to be careful what' s being said around him. :-D Every day is a new day with a new word or two for him to share with us. It reaffirms how lucky Tom and I are to have him and how blessed we are that he's growing so well. I worry about him at times, but my worries are quickly calmed by talking to others or the doctor.

He's also started singing his first song. Unfortunately for mommy it's not Bon Jovi-it's Train. They have a new song called "If it's love". Collin sings the ...love...love, only love can keep us together. He doesn't sing all of that-just the love part and it's so darn cute. I hate to admit it since it's not Bon Jovi (I so wanted that to be his first artist), but I'll take what I can get. I just hope he's going to have a love for music. Tom and I both want him to be a well-rounded individual with lots of talents and interests. Love you Collin!
