Super Bowl!
So I promised I'd get better at this, but I don't think I'm off to a very good start. Last night was the Super Bowl and Collin was rooting for the Packers, which is the team that won. "Go Pack!" as Collin says. He's going through this phase right now of separation anxiety and it seems that he wants Mommy the most with Daddy a close second, but only if Mommy's not around. At times I'm glad that he wants me so much, but other times it's very difficult to get anything accomplished with a 2 year old following you around and throwing a tantrum every time you disappear from the room. He's also suffering from anxiety when I put him to bed at night. I now have to stay in the room with him until he falls asleep. The past 2 nights though, since I've done that, he's slept all night long. As much as we don't want him to grow up, we're so ready for the twos to be done. That whole "terrible two" thing, well let's just say that our good little baby has grown horns. :-D Don't get me wrong it doesn't happen all the time, but when he does decide to throw a tantrum it's usually a doozy. Yesterday he threw one for at least 10 minutes without calming down. It was only after I picked him up and held him for a while that he calmed down. You know, it's not so much the tantrums that are difficult, we can usually handle those just fine, it's the blood curling screaming that he does now with the red faced frustration that makes it so difficult for us to handle. No one informed us about this phase. We just want to know when do we get our sweet, little boy back. You know-the one that's sweet all the time, not just occasionally. ;-D
