We're 1/3 of the way through!

I know it has been over a week since our last post, so I thought I'd better post something before someone takes notice. The last couple days has been a whirlwind. We had our office interview on Thursday afternoon and it went really well. She talked to us a little bit about the process so far and answered any questions we had about the paperwork and/or the process. She was very nice and put us at ease immediately, although I think I was a little more nervous than Tom. The interview lasted a little over 90 minutes and we felt really good when we left.

We then went downtown to get our fingerprinting done, which was really neat. They have a computer that scans your prints and you don't have to get ink all over your hands. That was cool! We were able to walk out of the office with our fingerprints done within about 30 minutes, probably not even that long.

The weather was supposed to get bad, but it wasn't really doing anything yet, so we went to an Italian restaurant to eat. The food was delicious, but while we were in the restaurant the weather did indeed get nasty. Let's just say instead of the hour and a half it should've taken us to get home it took us about 3 hours. We learned our lesson about Indiana weather-it can sure change in a hurry.

Yesterday-I prepared the fingerprints and paperwork to mail out to the agency and looked over some documents that are still needed to be filled out. I also tried to find a Dr. that I can get a physical, which is mandatory for the adoption process. I wasn't able to find a Dr. that would take me on a premanent basis, but I think we have a plan so that I can get a physical. I was very frustrated yesterday about this issue.

I think I've caught you all up on the last couple days events. The next thing we need to do is attend a class in March and make sure our other paperwork is filled out by then. We also need to prepare some pictures for our biography and create a birth mom letter, which will probably be the most difficult part. Keep praying for us because we can really feel your support.

Prayers to you and Tom for a quick process. You have not mentioned if you are wanting to adopt domestically or internationally. Do you want to adopt a girl or a boy or does it matter? Just some thoughts. Glad that you made it home safe Thursday night.

Yeah!! So glad to hear that things went well for you and Tom. I knew they would. I am sure the Agency is very impressed with the two of you. I am also glad to hear that you enjoy one my of favorite Italian restaurants in Indy. Hopefully you will get things worked out in finding a good family doctor. I am sending, as always, prayers your way.

YAY! One more step down! One third is HUGE....I love following along! And Lynnette was right, why don't you explain overall how the process works and whether you're requesting a girl or a boy, etc.

YAY again! I just love this!

Still praying for you!

You know I am always praying for you, especially shortly before an important part of the process. My rosary is going to wear out.(I said 4 rosaries on my trip over the weekend.) I have always prayed that God would give you a healthy, happy baby. Whether God blesses you with a girl or boy, I will be a happy grandma!!!
