Since today is Valentine's Day, I'm feeling a little sentimental. Here's what I'm thinking. This may be our last Valentine's Day as a couple. Somewhere in the world someone is pregnant with a child that may become our child. I find this difficult to get my head around sometimes. I know there are numerous circumstances to giving a child up for adoption, but our child could be out there waiting to be born or waiting for us to become their parents. Wow! It's both exciting to think about and, I know I've mentioned this before, a little scary. I can't imagine what the biological mom or birth parents may be thinking. I can't imagine having something growing inside of you for 9 months and then giving it to a complete stranger to raise. That must be so difficult to do, but yet the most loving thing a mother/parent can do. (Told you this was sentimental).
Anyway, I hope all of our family and friends has a great day! Thank you for all your prayers.

Yes, Vickie, there would've been nothing more difficult for me than to give you up. The day you were born was the beginning of a great journey for me. Yes, the journey was sometimes very difficult, but I wouldn't change it for the world.(Now who's being sentimental?) I pray everyday that you and Tom will have that life changing day to experience for yourselves, according to God's plan.
Happy Valentine's Day to you and Tom. Next year maybe a little different, so enjoy the "Couple" time while you can. Soon, you will be planning classroom parties and not have time to think about each other. Children are great, but don't forget about each other in the process. God will give you your dreams when the time is right! My prayers to you both and the future baby Avery!!

Awww, you're right...it was sentimental...and lovely! Explore those thoughts. I believe it will make you a better parent. You already love a little baby whom you have never met! It's an amazing feeling!
I pray that this time next year you'll have a little one to put into their valentine's pj's and snuggle with on the couch!
Love...it's the best! Loving your child....it's even better!
