Today was our doctor appointment. I'm sorry I'm just now posting, but the reason for that is another subject*. Anyway, the baby is doing fine. The heartrate today was 150, which is still good (range is 120-160). I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing that heartbeat. It's got to be the best sound in the whole world. I tear up everytime I hear it. I think until I feel the baby move, it's really the only thing that makes all this real. My blood pressure and everything else is fine. The Dr. measured my tummy and said I'm at 18 weeks, but we're not too excited about that since the original due date was in December. I almost forgot the best part...I gained 3 lbs. (I never thought I'd be happy about that). That also puts our mind at ease. With all of the morning sickness I've had up to this point and never gained weight, even though the Drs. told us it was fine, it's still good to know that we are healthy.
I had to have some blood work done today for what they call a quad-test. It's basically to check the baby for a different set of possible diseases (spina bifita, Downs Syndrome, etc). So far other blood work has come back normal, so hopefully this will too. It was actually a pretty quick visit today and I don't go back until September 2.
*The other subject is I went into the classroom today and worked, but don't worry I had plenty of help. One of my coworkers came over and helped me move some things around and the custodian and his helper showed up after lunch and helped me move some things too. It's actually starting to resemble a classroom, which is good since school begins on the 13th.
That's all I can say for now. There should be some news with Tom soon, but we're still waiting for it to become official. Keep the positive thoughts and prayers coming. They are obviously working.

Glad things are going well, don't worry to much about the weigh things. I didn't gain any weight for the first 6 months with Chase, but boy did it catch up with me the last 3 months!! Stay away from Aldi's Ice Cream Sandwiches!! :(
Take is easy and don't over do it at the school.
Talk soon,
Lynnette
Let me know if you need help! I'll be around Monday (and obviously Tuesday) so let me know!
Glad things are going well with the baby! (You DID say "original" due date. What's the date at now?)
