We had our doctor appointment today. Things went well-again. The baby's heartbeat was a little slower this time at 148, but the doctor said that is normal and not to worry-Baby Avery could've been sleeping. I had to have a glucose test today. It wasn't too bad to start out with, but after about the 3 or 4 swallow I was ready to be finished. It tasted like an orange cough syrup that coated my throat. I waited an hour and they drew my blood, had to do it out of both arms. I feel like I've been through a war. :-) Anyway, back to the visit. My blood pressure was good and I didn't gain any weight this time. The doctor never mentioned anything about being concerned about weight gain, so I'm not worried about it. I just wonder since I fasted today if that could have anything to do with it, I wouldn't think a couple hours would make a difference, but I guess you never know. We've begun with the 2 week visits, which I know means we're getting close to the end. I have to go tomorrow and get my Rhogam shot for the Rh factor. Oh boy! :-{ I'm a little nervous about that, but I suppose I'll get through it just like everything else.
I'll be having my first baby shower this Saturday, given by the 3 grandma's. I'm very excited and can't wait to see everyone. There's nothing too new to report other than what I've already said. Don't worry I'll make sure to include pictures of the shower and nursery as it gets redone.
Keep the positive thoughts and prayers coming. It won't be long now! :-D

Yes, the showers are starting with "the three grandmas" hosting. I know the baby will get some much needed things for his/her arrival into this world. Of course most of the gifts will be of the "generic"
kind, but once my grandbaby is born, I plan to go on a shopping spree so that things will be boy/girl specific. I feel very privileged to be helping you through this. God is good.

I can't wait for the pictures to see how things are coming along with the nursery. Good luck with the first baby shower, I hope you get a lot of neat things. Of course it would be easier to purchase things if we knew if it was boy or girl!!!!!
