Are you getting tired of this yet? :-D Our little guy is 4 months old today. It seems difficult to believe. Time has flown right by. Collin is getting baptised this weekend. I hope he's good and doesn't cry.
Collin is beginning to be more comfortable laying on his back. We put him on his back in a boppy pillow, a half circle pillow, and he played for at least 30 minutes on his back. This is a huge improvement over what he's been doing, which is crying when he's on his back for 1 second. :-D
Anyway, we're really excited about this idea because he is almost out of the pumpkin seat, which he still uses to sleep in.
Collin is also trying to roll over. He can roll onto his side, but can't quite get the elbow tucked under so that he can get onto his stomach. He gets so upset when he can't. Tom and I just laugh because it's so darn cute.
Lately, he's been waking up at 3:00 am to get a bottle. Mommy says, "This has got to stop!" I'm so tired the next morning and it takes a while for me to function once my day begins. I know the reason he gets up during the night is because he eats early and then falls asleep and sleeps the rest of the night, until 3:00. We may have to start waking him up before we go to bed to make sure that he eats so he'll sleep during the night.
He also went to the doctor today. Collin weighs 15 pounds and almost 10 ounces. He is 26 inches long. The doctor gave us a good report. He is growing well and is a very healthy little boy. The doctor told us that it's okay to begin foods. The first thing he needs to get is cereal mixed with formula and then we go from there. We are excited to try this also. I'm anxious to see what his reaction is to food. He also got 4 vaccinations. One was an oral vaccine and the other 3 were shots. This was the first time I was there for his vaccinations. The last time we went to the doctor, 2 months ago, I had a doctor appointment so I could get cleared to come back to work and I missed it. I'll admit it I cried. It was so hard to see the shock on his face for the first one and by the time the second and third ones came along, he was so upset about it that I'm not sure he even noticed. Once we got him in his car seat and in the car he was so tired he fell asleep although not for very long.
He is such a good boy and even though he's been with us for 4 months, I still can't believe he's really here. I'll post some pictures after the baptism. Thanks for checking in with us!

If Collin is like his Mommy, he will cry when the water is put on his head during baptism. Vickie, you did not like it at all!!(Maybe that was the beginning of you not liking getting your hair washed.)
I'm so glad he is getting used to being on his back, and trying to roll over. (Could it be that he really doesn't like it on his back?) He'll get the hang of it soon enough.
If he gets some cereal before he goes to bed, he'll sleep better(his belly will be fuller).
I cried when you got your shots too. It doesn't get any easier, but you get better at keeping the crying under control.
Anxiously waiting to see him this weekend.
Love,
GG
I cried when my boys got their shots also..... :"(
He will still love you even for making him get shots. He is so cute, get pictures of his first bite of food..even if it is just rice cereal.
