Collin's first illness

We had to take Collin to the doctor yesterday because he was so congested. He had a cough that worried both Tom and I so I made an appointment to take him to the doctor and Tom actually took him. Anyway, a doctor checked him out and determined he has a double ear infection. We both felt so bad because we didn't figure it out, but the doctor assured us that not all babies let their parents know when they're sick. Collin was his happy normal self, except for the congestion. Anyway, we now have a cool mist vaporizer and Collin is taking Amoxicillan for his congestion. Hopefully he'll get better soon!

Collin did get baptized this past weekend, see pictures below. He was so good, except for when he had a major blow out after the baptism, but still during the Mass. He got it all over Tom's pants, not to mention his own outfit. (Again, note the pictures). Anyway, we couldn't have asked for a better day for the baptism or a better baby. he was so good!

Collin is babbling away. At first we thought it was because he was so sick and he was trying to tell us so, but it is still continuing. We love to listen! Please enjoy the pictures and I'll try to get more posts up with less time in between.

By the way, just for fun I posted a picture of Collin as a baby in an outfit and again at almost 4 months. Enjoy the comparison!

Yes, Collin was very good at his Baptism and his GG was so proud to be there taking pictures(too bad the video camera didn't work). For the short while he was in his outfit, I think he looked quite cute.
I know how bad you feel not knowing that Collin was sick. As you know, Vickie, you had lots of ear infections when you were little and usually didn't have a fever. The only way I knew there was something wrong was if you were extra fussy or you rubbed your ears. It might be that he'll have ear infections often just like his Mommy.(Though I hope not.)
Now, when I talk to Collin on the phone, he can talk to me too. :)
Looking forward to seeing you, Vickie, on your first Mother's Day and celebrating my first Mother's Day as a grandma.
Love,
GG
