Happy 5 month birthday, Collin! (a little late)

I'm sorry I am posting so late, but with the end of the school year, working on my next class to be certified for Gifted/Talented Education, and everything else going on this is the first chance I've had. Whew!

There has been quite a bit going on in Collin's first 5 months of life and it's difficult to believe that he's almost 1/2 year old already. Wow! Well, let's see it's time for me to catch you up on events of Collin's life. He has successfully rolled over. He rolls from back to front mostly on his left side, although I did witness him rolling on his right side, but only once. This was difficult for me because I was the last one he did it for-the first was his babysitter and the second was his Dad. He has successfully gotten over his first illness. We had to take him to the doctor two different times though and he had to take 2 different medications because the amoxicillan healed up one ear, but not the other. However, he is healthy in both ears now. He is talking up a storm, mostly to Daddy (da, da, da, da-is about all he says). I'm ready for (ma, ma, ma, ma). :-D We put an entertainer station for him so he isn't in that pumpkin seat anymore, well not very often. He gets more play time. I've had food such as: squash, bananas, carrots, applesauce, peaches, green beans and he likes them all. Yeah! I don't want him to be a picky eater like me. However, now he doesn't really want his cereal. We can get him to eat it and some days are better than others, but it's becoming more difficult. He is also spitting up more, which I'm not sure why that is. When we asked the doctor about it last month he said it's nothing to worry about, but I'm a mom, I'm supposed to worry. Collin is also sleeping on his back in the crib all night long. No more pumpkin seat. Hooray! He's our big boy and I can't believe how fast he's growing up.

We had a little scare with Tom because of an accident, but he's okay and everything is back to normal. Nothing like a dose of fear to shock you back into reality and what's important in life.

I think that's all for now. I've attached some pictures this time. Again, sorry for the delay in the post. At least it's summer now so posting will be easier!

Yes, my precious Collin is growing so quickly. I love to listen to him tell me his story. I always tell him I don't believe it, but to keep trying to convince me. Ma-ma-ma will come soon and then I'm going to teach him to say GG!! :)
You and Tom are great parents. Keep up the good work.
Looking forward to spending some time with you and Collin in a few weeks.
Love,
GG
