Happy 7 Month Birthday!

Our little man is 7 months already! The time flies by. Collin is getting two teeth in the front, they are just beginning to poke through. You can barely see them and if you get a flashlight, that's easier. He has a mild grade temperature (I think), and seems to be a little fussy. He wants to be held and cuddled almost all of the time. His temperament though is very good, we've been blessed with such a good baby.

Collin is going to the doctor at the end of the month for a consultation about the surgery he has to have. We are a little nervous about that. He is babbling a lot now and has even said "Hi, G.G.", which makes his G.G. extremely happy. I, on the other hand, am still waiting for mama. I think he's said it once lately, but I'm not convinced it was just a coincidence that he said it. We haven't been to the doctor lately for a checkup, we went last month, and the next checkup won't be until October (on Daddy's birthday). He's met lots of new relatives at our last family reunion and he takes being passed around in stride. Again, we are so blessed with a good baby!

Collin is still trying new foods. He's on the second foods now and doing quite well with them all. The only thing he still doesn't like is peas, but everything else he's had he enjoys. I guess if peas is the only thing he doesn't like I'll be happy. I don't want him to be the picky eater his Mommy is. No pictures this time, but I'll have a bunch the next time. I've still got pictures on my camera from July 4.

I have begun working in my classroom going through everything that I didn't get a chance to do last year. Whew! What a lot of work. I have thrown out quite a bit of stuff that's accumulated in that room. I had the custodians help me move stuff today, my room got painted over the summer, so it's beginning to take shape again. Thank goodness! I'll have more time next week to work in it if I want to since Collin will be back at the babysitter's full time. I think I'm ready to go back and get myself back into a routine, but I am going to miss my days with my baby. There have been some trying times this summer when I didn't get things done that I wanted to, but I love spending time with him and am constantly reminded what a miracle he is. (Have you gotten tired of reading that yet...too bad, he is). :-D

Tom and I are feeling much better. Tom thinks his illness was due to food poisoning and is doing much better. Thank you for those that gave us some much needed advice. I'm sorry it's been so long posting, but we've had a pretty serious illness with my mother-in-law and so we've been traveling back to Ohio quite a bit lately. This has been very difficult for all of us, but especially for Tom. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

Keep checking for updates. I can't make promises of when this will be updated, but I'll do my best. Thanks for checking up!

Yes, GG was and still is ecstatic about my precious Collin saying "Hi, GG"!!!!! I don't care if it was the only time he said it, he still said it. I can't believe how quickly he has grown. He is such a good baby. I certainly enjoy singing to him and reading his little books to him and saying nursery rhymes to him. Oh what a joyful miracle he is!!
Always look forward to time with him...yes even if he's fussy.
Love,
GG
