I also know this is an old post, but we've received a new computer which is why there aren't any pictures on this post (this is off of the new computer). Anyway, I'm sorry for the delay. The next post will be only pictures, I PROMISE!
It's amazing what has happened since that last post. First, Collin has celebrated his first Halloween. He did dress up as a monkey and was the cutest monkey I've ever seen (see picture below). He is a little young for trick or treating, but did march, with the help of him Mommy, in her school Halloween parade, and even attended his first Halloween party. That was fun for both Mommy, Collin, and Daddy too.
Second, Collin's Grandma Avery has died. This saddens us for Collin. He will not know his Grandma Avery. Without going into too much detail, she never improved since she got sick in August and finally her body just couldn't fight anymore. The picture below is the last picture that was taken of her before she got sick. As for our friend that was diagnosed with cancer, she is fighting hard. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Collin's milestones are coming faster now. He is beginning to crawl everywhere, so we've resorted to "baby jail". I think it makes Buddy happy because now he doesn't need to be crated everytime Collin wants to be out. Unfortunately though "baby jail" doesn't work all the time because he wants his freedom and he's quickly realized he doesn't have it in there. Collin is on 3rd foods and has been eating table food. He's had chicken, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, turkey, and seems to like it all. He still does not like beef. I find that interesting. Overall though, he is doing well with what we've given him. This past weekend, he just started clicking his tongue on the roof of his mouth. He will mimic you if you do it also. It is so funny!
He was going through a phase where he wasn't sleeping through the night, but that seems to have changed, at least we hope.
Collin's surgery was a success! Everything seems to be in working order, we get "showers" regularly. :-D We have a final follow up with the doctor in January, but we don't forsee any problems.
