We're figuring it out

The last post has been a couple days ago now before any of you knew we were even considering this as an option. So here's an update since I posted Wednesday.

We've attended the Saturday seminar, that was this morning, and believe that we have found an agency. We have one more agency we'd like to investigate, and based on their conversation with us we may or may not go with them. The meeting we had this morning in Indianapolis is with the Adoption Support Center and they were very nice and we received a lot more pertinant information based on the Indiana laws and regulations. Tom and I are both very happy that we attended this seminar because it further answered more questions we had to the adoption process in Indiana. The other agency we'd like to talk to is the St. Elizabeth Coleman agency to see what their philosophy, etc. is. Right now, though, Tom and I are going to "gnawing" on what we heard today and will be discussing it.

We're still in the very early stages of this process and there is so much to think about in this area of adoption. The agency today gave us a five page document giving us general information in response to a one page document we filled out when we got to the seminar this morning. This was a huge help to us in determining certain plans or directions we could take our adoption journey. Stay tuned for further updates!
