I'm sorry this is a day late. I wanted to get this posted yesterday, but with the job and meetings I just didn't get it done. Anyway, on to the important stuff. We received a great report yesterday! The baby's heartrate was 152, which is about the range it's been in the entire time. My blood pressure was 114/17, which they said was fantastic! I didn't really gain a lot of weight this time, maybe a pound. However, I'm fighting a cold/allergy so I'm sure that's been affecting things. I don't think I've felt the baby move yet, but the nurse practitioner gave encouragement saying it should be any week now (maybe the next couple). That put me at ease. I think I've just been so busy that I haven't had down time to feel the baby move. Also, the blood test that I had done to check for spina bifida and some other defects came back fine, so we are on our way to a healthy baby! This is going to sound crazy, but they gave me permission to eat hot dogs. No, this is not a craving! It's just that when we went to visit the new Colts' stadium on my birthday they were making hot dogs and it smelled sooooooooo good! I heard, or read, that pregnant women shouldn't eat hot dogs since you're not 100% sure what's in them. However, as soon as I feel better I know what we're having for supper! Ha!Ha!
There's been a couple of things that we've done since my last couple posts (or I've forgotten to mention them). First, we've toured the new hospital where I will be delivering Baby Avery. It's really nice. All the rooms are private and have their own private shower. There is a computer right next to the bed-so I can post while I'm in labor. (Okay-don't really expect that to happen). The waiting room for family, since Tom, myself, and the doctor and nurses are going to be the only ones in the delivery room for an extended period of time, is right next to the nursery so family members can see the baby if and when they take it to the nursery. There's a lot of nice features about the hospital. I'm excited to be there (well, not excited to deliver necessarily, but you know what I mean).
Seriously though, there have been a few bumps in this road, but nothing I haven't been able to handle. I've been feeling good and things have been going well. (I just hope this isn't a sign of things to come-easy pregnancy, difficult delivery).
Anyway, keep the positive thoughts and prayers coming this direction. This pregnancy was such a surprise for us I just want the positive vibes to get me through. Only 4 months left! Can you believe it?

WHOO HOO!
It is so awesome that "my baby" will soon have a baby of her own. You've probably felt the baby, but just not realized it(I don't think I felt you until you let me know in no uncertain terms you were there). But be careful what you wish for...a very active baby can keep you awake at night, and I know how you need your sleep. I will soon be showering my grandchild with all the love my heart has.
Love,
GG
Great news!!! I am so excited for you and Tom. I can't wait to meet Baby Avery!!!!
Prayers to all of you.
