I had my second glucose test today and my doctor appointment. They only gave me 5 minutes to drink 10 ounces of that orange stuff. I probably did better with it this time than the last time. I was poked 4 times today and now know what it means when people say a human pin cushion. :-) Anyway, the doctor was very happy with the progress I'm making. My blood pressure was good, no swelling, and he said everything looked good. He checked the baby's heartrate and it was 160 today, but they said it was probably because of the sugar drink I had earlier and not to worry. The doctor said, for what it's worth, that he thought it was a boy. I'm not sure why he said that if it was the heartrate or position or what, but he also said he's wrong 50% of the time. So we're not really going to take that as definite.
Big plans are happening the rest of this week. Tomorrow we go for our first childbirth class, which should be interesting. I'm sure a lot of questions I'm beginning to have will be answered in these classes. Also, this weekend Tom's cousin Greg is coming down and he's going to help paint the nursery. (We still haven't decided on a color-guess we better get going with that :-o ).
I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks. I'm a little in shock because I've reached 30 weeks, which means there's only 10 weeks to go (maybe a little more if Baby Avery decides not to arrive on due date). That's only 2 hands! :-O And there's still so much to do.
I'll keep you updated about my test results and the weeks events. Look for updated nursery pictures.

How cute are you in your dress!!! The cake was adorable! Sesame Street all the way!!!! What type of gifts did you get, so we don't duplicate.
Glad things are going well with baby Avery and your health. I can't believe you only have 10 weeks to go, it seems like you just let everyone know the secret.
Can't wait to see the little one! I think it is a girl, I don't know why, I just feel like it.
Talk soon,
Lynnette
WHOO HOO!!!! I'm going with LESS than 10 weeks to go!!!! And, I'm betting on the doctor...it's a boy!
It doesn't matter to me if the doctor is correct or not...I just want a healthy baby boy or girl and a healthy Mom with an easy delivery.
I'm looking forward to coming down this weekend to buy some baby furniture and whatever else we might decide to get. :)
Love,
GG
