The "honeymoon" is over!

Note: This was a draft I had done some time ago, but never posted it because of the reason below. I'm going to post it today with the one above, which is a more current update. Sorry for the delay!

This really isn't how I truly feel, but Collin is beginning to show his true colors. He is becoming a typical baby-fussy, fussy, fussy. In the mornings when he first wakes up I feed him, get his diaper changed and then the fussiness begins. It takes him quite a while to decide to settle down and go back to sleep. He fights sleep constantly, which I guess is why he's been sleeping so well at night-usually about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. This has been great for Mommy! :-D It seems like I can't really get into the shower and do other things until the afternoon because I'm either feeding, burping, playing, or cuddling our boy to get him to calm down. He still is not sleeping in his crib, but we are beginning to give him a pacifier if he's fussy. Sometimes he has just finished eating and acts like he wants to eat again, this is when the pacifier does it's job. He isn't to sure he likes it, but he will take it eventually and it does work. This gives Mommy some relief.

I still can't get over how big he is getting and that he is 3 weeks old today. Time is flying! There is really not to much going on here. I've begun reading to Collin and Daddy got a couple of really cute pictures of our reading time (See picture below). Keep checking back to see our little man and his progress. He is growing so fast! We can't believe all the changes!

So glad you are reading to my grandson. I started to read to you at a very early age and you taught yourself to read before going to kindergarten (with the help of "Sally, Dick and Jane"). I know he's a smart boy...just look at his parents!! :)

I want to tell you, it will get better. What kind of formula are you giving the little guy? I had to use the Good Starts for my boys because anything else made their bellies hurt, which caused a lot of crying at the house, not just the boys, but mom also!!!

I also loved Mylican drops! Baby Mylanta to help sooth the tummy also.

Just a few thoughts!

I am glad he is growing and he isn't the only one growing in your house, Tom and you are growing into great parents!!!

If you need anything, just let me know! I make a great babysitter if you need time away, or even to take a shower!!!
LOL
